Piła Academy of Business was created by the
West Pomeranian Business School Manager Development Institute, ltd., in Piła with the authorization of the Minister of Education DSW 3 - 0145/280/TBM/95, dated 22 December, 1995. By Decision of the Minister of National Education, DSW 3 - 0145/25/TBM/96, dated 8 February, 1996, Piła Academy of Business was entered into the National Registry of Private Higher Vocational Institutions, with the serial number ‘80’.
The general direction of Piła Academy of Business was to educate in the higher vocational system, with a degree in Management and Marketing.
By decision of the Minister of National Education, DSW 3 - 0145/25/TBM/96, dated 8 February, 1996, the first Statute of Piła Academy of Business was approved.
Piła Academy of Business was established on the basis of the Higher Education Act of 12 September, 1990 (The Official Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland No 65, item 385, 1990, as amended later) and on the basis of the Statute approved by the Minister of National Education.
Under the current regulations, after a year of activity, another (second) Statute of Piła Academy of Business was approved by the Minister of National Education, DNS - 1 - 0145 - 60/Reg.80/97 of 30 April, 1997.
According to a document issued by the Ministry of National Education, DNS. 1 - 4103/4104/56/97, of 22 July, 1997, Regulations Governing Studies were introduced to Piła Academy of Business.
By decision of the Minister of National Education, DNS 1 - 0143 - 18/2/JL, dated 30 September, 1999, Piła Academy of Business was granted a permit to educate at a higher vocational level in Administration faculty.
By decision of the Minister of National Education and Sport DSW-3-4011-152/Reg.80/03 of 19 May, 2003, the new Statute of Piła Academy of Business was approved.
According to Resolution No. 387/2003 of 10 July, 2003, issued by the Bureau of the National Accreditation Commission, Administration faculty received a positive assessment of the quality of education at the professional level. The Ministry of National Education and Sport, DSW.Ts-4011/56/BS/03 of 30 September, 2003, accepted new Regulations Governing Studies, introduced by Piła Academy of Business. According to Resolution No. 30/2004 of January 15, 2004, issued by the Bureau of National Accreditation Commission, Marketing and Management faculty received a positive assessment of the quality of education at the professional level.
Under the current regulatory framework Piła Academy of Business is a non-public higher-level university, acting on the Law of 27 July, 2005, Law on Higher Education (The Official Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland of 2005. No. 164, item. 1365, as amended later). Piła Academy of Business was entered into the National Registry of Private Higher Vocational Institutions with serial number ‘80’. Piła Academy of Business is supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. By decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, DSS-4001-81/ML/06 No. 14 November, 2006, Regulations Governing Studies of Piła Academy of Business were approved. By decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, No. DSW-3-05-411-127-07, dated 2 February, 2007, a new Piła Academy of Business Statute was approved. Currently, the Faculty of Administration and Management of Piła Academy of Business runs first degree courses of Administration and Management, which have the consent of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
According to Resolution No. 583/2008 of the Bureau of National Accreditation Commission of 4 September, 2008, the Administration Faculty received a passing grade on the quality of education at the undergraduate level. According to Resolution No. 19/2009 of the Bureau of the national Accreditation Commission of 5 February, 2009, Management faculty received a positive assessment of the quality of education at the undergraduate level.
